I agree----Landrys is Bottom of the Barrell. I was there a few weeks ago ( Copelands was closed)..I ordered Shrimp--tough NOT FRESH -- I had just been in Charleston,SC---WONDERFUL Fried Shrimp..Never again @ Landrys..- Is follow up to post by ronin ...
I used to work for Landry's seafood and I know that all the food is very fresh, as as it can be that far inland because I have seen it delivered. Our food is excellent, it is a little pricy, but excellent. I never tired of the food even though I work there for two years. The managers always have offered discounts when the food was unsatisfactory. I am sorry that you did not have a pleasant experience. I have heard that when they first opened that the quality was not very good, but in the past 3 years the standards have been raised. People come in and are surprised by the change. Fried shrimp is fried shrimp, might I recommend the Fresh catch pontchartrain or the Broiled stuff flounder. Everything is delicious. -- 2/3/2005 12:28:34 AM
